These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rakkasan Chef website (the "Site") and your purchase of and attendance at The Rakkasan Chef Experience and related private dining services (the "Experience") offered by Chef Shawn Fralin ("Rakkasan Chef," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or booking a seat, you agree to these Terms.
1. THE EXPERIENCE
The Rakkasan Chef Experience — Series I is a limited, one-evening private dining event. Seats, dates, menus, venue, and details are limited and may change. We will make reasonable efforts to notify confirmed guests of any material change.
2. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT
Seats are USD 1,200 each and are sold on a first-come basis through our payment processor, Stripe. A reservation is confirmed only when payment is successfully completed and you receive a confirmation. You agree to provide accurate guest information (including names and dietary needs) for each seat. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes or gratuities unless stated.
3. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
You may request a full refund within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase by emailing info@rakkasanchef.com. After this window, reservations are non-refundable, as seating and provisioning are committed in advance. If we cancel or materially reschedule the Experience and you cannot attend the new date, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid, which is our sole liability for such changes. Seats may be transferred to another guest by notifying us in advance.
4. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES
Please disclose all allergies and dietary restrictions at the time of booking. We will use reasonable efforts to accommodate them but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment; food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens. You attend and dine at your own risk and are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
5. GUEST CONDUCT AND ADMISSION
Guests must be of legal drinking age to consume alcohol where served. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any guest for unsafe, unlawful, or disruptive behavior, without refund.
6. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA
Photography or recording may occur at the Experience. By attending, you consent to the use of such media for Rakkasan Chef's promotional purposes. To opt out, please notify us in writing before the event.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on the Site — including text, images, branding, menus, and the "Rakkasan Chef" name — is owned by or licensed to us and may not be used without our written permission.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rakkasan Chef and Chef Shawn Fralin will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Site, a reservation, or attendance at the Experience. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected reservation.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rakkasan Chef, Chef Shawn Fralin, and any venue or partner from claims arising out of your attendance or your breach of these Terms.
10. PRIVACY
Your use of the Site and your booking are also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to this page. Your continued use of the Site or attendance constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
